Thailand Information Security Association (TISA)

The Thailand Information Security Association (TISA) was formed in July 2007 to assist the Kingdom of Thailand meet emerging information security threats and foster cyber defense technologies and information sharing in the Asia Pacific region.  TISA’s founding information security members included the National Science and Technology Development Agency, Software Park Thailand, the Department of Special Investigation, the Royal Thai Police, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, representing both government and private sectors in Thailand.

Dr. Prinya Hom-Anek, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS GIAC, GCFW, CompTIA Security +, founder and acting president of TISA and I will be working together with TISA to build a Center of Excellence for CEP focused on cybersecurity defense initiatives.    In particular, we are working on the details for a cybersecurity defense laboratory in Bangkok where we will be testing CEP technologies against some of the most challenging cybersecurity threat detection problems we face today, including AJAX and Web 2.0 attacks, Fuzzing attacks, VoIP attacks, Web Services and SOA attacks,  Virtualized Exploit attacks (MOSVM) and  Critical Infrastructure (SCADA) attacks.

We will be announcing more details about the CEP Center of Excellence for Cyberdefense Initiatives at the The 7th – Cyber Defense Initiative Conference 2007 (CDIC 2007) to be held 22-23 November in Bangkok.
